An electronic register will be launched in Ukraine, which will allow employers to verify the authenticity of documents confirming the qualifications of their employees in an open access manner.
This was reported by the National Qualifications Agency.
The resource will also serve as an information platform for future qualification centres that will award qualifications based on self-education.
The qualification centres will assess the learning outcomes that a person has obtained through non-formal education or informal education, award professional qualifications and recognise professional qualifications obtained in other countries.
According to the Head of the National Qualifications Agency, Yuriy Balanyuk, the register will initially contain information on accredited qualification centres, documents confirming the qualification of a particular person, a list of professional standards, applications for their development, information on experts in accreditation of qualification centres and information on qualifications.
«HR departments will no longer need to search various resources, usually paper-based, for information on the list of qualifications, required employee competencies, or the existence of a professional standard. All this will be available on a single resource,» Balanyuk said.
He also notes that the Qualifications Register will become the main information platform for qualification centres.
«Anyone who wants to confirm their qualifications, convert their skills, abilities and competences into a certificate of qualification and be able to officially find a job, will go to the Register's website and receive information on where there are qualification centres, what the cost of qualification is, what they need to know and be able to do for a particular professional qualification,» said the Head of the National Qualifications Agency.
