Children of war veterans who study on a contract basis will be able to receive compensation from the state for the full cost of annual tuition at vocational pre-university and higher education institutions.
This was reported by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, commenting on the government's adoption of a resolution on a pilot project to be implemented jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science.
The experiment envisages that children of war veterans studying on a contractual basis at professional pre-university or higher education institutions will be paid the full tuition fee for the relevant academic year.

The funds will be credited to a special account of the educational institution. The amounts that have already been paid by the student must be returned by the educational institution.
They will be able to receive state aid for tuition fees:
- children who have the status of a family member of a deceased defender of Ukraine;
- children of people with disabilities caused by the war;
- children of combatants as defined in paragraphs 19-25 of part one of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection";
- children of persons with the status of missing persons under special circumstances;
- children of persons in respect of whom the deprivation of personal liberty was established as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine;
- children of persons recognised as victims of the Revolution of Dignity.
