Today, the green level of epidemic danger is in effect throughout Ukraine, so the Ministry of Health is considering easing quarantine restrictions.
This was stated by Health Minister Viktor Liashko during a government meeting.
According to him, the current epidemic situation in Ukraine allows us to say that the whole country meets the green level of epidemic danger indicators.
«But I emphasise that despite the improvement in the epidemic situation, we should not forget that COVID-19 has not been overcome, none of the European countries that have improved the situation with both the incidence and vaccination have completely cancelled restrictive measures,» the Minister said.
Currently, the incidence rate in Ukraine is 74 cases per 100,000 people, while the green level indicator is 75 per 100,000. In 16 regions, this rate is significantly lower than the target.
The lowest incidence rates are observed in Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia and Kirovohrad regions.
At the same time, Viktor Liashko stressed that the best protection against COVID-19 is vaccination.
«Right now, everyone can get vaccinated, in particular through the Diia app, at mass vaccination centres, which are growing in number,« the Health Minister added.
