The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a draft law that will provide students, employees of educational institutions, educational and research institutions with state guarantees for a special period.
On 15 March, 341 MPs voted in favour of the bill.
The guarantees will cover the right to keep one's job, place of study, as well as the payment of salaries and scholarships.
It is worth noting that the guarantees will apply to all participants in the educational process, including those who were forced to change their place of residence or stay.
According to the draft law, students are guaranteed the organisation of the educational process in a distance form or in any other form that is the safest for its participants.
Employees of educational institutions, educational and research institutions are guaranteed to retain their jobs and average earnings.
Also guaranteed are scholarships and other payments provided for by law, accommodation (boarding house, dormitory, etc.) and meals (if necessary).
